JJ (full disclosure, Jacob John) Slater has been around New England time and time again, playing fiery guitar in a variety of genres and singing rootsy songs that stretch into the ethereal, taking equal influence from jazz, folk, and rock. Sometimes solo, sometimes accompanied by Dan Bisson's percussive upright bass, and sometimes with a full, jettisoning band, he is currently working on a record slated for release in 2020.
