They are committed to exploring and thriving in their creative practice by sharing resources with other ambitious individuals, while simultaneously building accessible and inclusive community in North Adams.
We now have three levels of membership!
SELLER MEMBER
Seller Members give $12/month OR $132/year and receive:
The ability to sell their work in Common Folk’s booth at vending events and pop-ups at a 60/40 commission
Discounts on Common Folk event tickets, workshops, merch, and art supplies
CREATOR MEMBER
Shared Studio Members give $25/month* OR $275/year* and:
A desire to develop your creative practice in community with others
Concerted efforts to building a mutually beneficial and inclusive community
*mini-grants are available to creators unable to pay monthly dues
Shared Studio Members receive:
A collaborative community of creative individuals
The ability to sell work and services in our booth at vending events and pop-ups at a 70/30 commission
10 hours per month to utilize our shared studio space during open hours
Discounts on Common Folk event tickets, workshops, merch, and art supplies
Collective marketing power
ALL ACCESS MEMBER
All Access Members give: $80/month OR $880/year and:
A desire to develop your creative practice in community with others
Concerted efforts to building a mutually beneficial and inclusive community
Shared Studio Members receive:
A collaborative community of creative individuals
The ability to sell work and services in our booth at vending events and pop-ups at a 70/30 commission
Unlimited hours per month to utilize our shared studio space during open hours
Personal storage cubby for supplies at the shared studio
Discounts on Common Folk event tickets, merch, and art supplies

Why should I become a member?
Common Folk members work in a supportive environment that empowers emerging creators to thrive in their practice and share it with others. Members collectively invest in the overhead costs of creative endeavors so that they may explore and realize their goals with reduced financial risk.
How many members are in the collective?
We currently have an average of 40 collective members.
What if I can’t afford a membership?
We have a limited number of mini-grants available to members unable to afford membership dues. These grants are funded by supportive community members that “sponsor” Common Folk creators. Check the box at the bottom of the registration form to be considered for a mini-grant.
